When attending the Keeneland November 2021 Breeding Stock Sale, we were looking for a well-bred, athletic filly to commence the stable’s “Race Mare” operations in a serious way. Assisted by Clark Shepherd of Shepherd Equine Advisers, we are extremely excited to have sourced this scopey, well balanced, KY bred filly by world class sire, YOSHIDA, a multiple Graded Stakes winner on turf and dirt, and a descendant of Champion stallion SUNDAY SILENCE. Out of the G3 winning mare LEAH’S SECRET by Tiger Ridge, a winner of the Lexus Raven Run Stakes at Keeneland, Yolo will be pointed to the races in late 2023. She is already a half-sister to five six figure winners, one of them being NICODEMUS, winner of the Grade 3 Westchester at Belmont Park. She will be trained by Joe Sharp in 2023.
